Guest Room Remodel

This older home in Zelienople, PA had a guest room connected to the master bedroom. The homeowner wanted the doorway sealed off between the rooms for privacy. She also wanted the original fireplace restored and the flooring replaced.

The old wallpaper was removed,
and the doorway between the rooms was sealed and drywalled.

The fireplace had been covered by a sheet of beadboard by a previous owner.

Tom uncovered the orginial fireplace and built the mantle from scratch.

The beautiful detail work is in character with the older home.

Tom cleaned out the fire box, built a brick hearth to match,
and painted the mantle crisp white.

The room was given a coat of soft yellow paint to finish it.
